Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale (born on April 2, 1985) is an American professional basket ball player. She is a player for the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. Her name was chosen as the 5th selection overall in the 2019 WNBA Draft by the Dallas Wings. Arike Ogunbowale's father and mother Yolanda Ogunbowale & Gregory Ogunbowale were born March 2nd 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin. Mario Ogunbowale (26 years) and Dare Ogunbowale (19 years) are her two older brothers. As the youngest sister, she got the attention of her parents. Gregory's father was part of the Nigerian Army. Ogunbowale has a thriving family background. Her mother Yolanda and brother Dare each played softball at DePaul. Her aunt used to play volleyball at UAPB. Ogunbowale has won gold at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships and 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships and 2013 3x3 FIBA U18 Championships. The 7th of July 2014 was the day she was named for the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also selected as a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team following her debut year as a collegiate player. Ogunbowale was also congratulated by Kobe Bryant.
