Stella Maeve (born in 1961) is an American actress best known for the stunning actress in Julia Wicker who appeared on The Magicians. Maeve hails from New York. She is Blackfoote, and Cherokee. The actress made her debut on screen in 2005's short film Liminality . In 2005, she made her first appearance on the big screens in the critically acclaimed comedy drama Transamerica. That the same year, her debut television appearance was in a season four episode of Law & Order Criminal Intent. She was a part of Dick Wolf's Chicago franchise in 2014 and was named Nadia Decotis, Chicago P.D. . The persona was portrayed by her from 2015 onwards in which she reprised her character in Law & Order Special Victims Unit the tv show from Wolf the series. She also began portraying the role of female lead Julia Wicker in the Syfy fantasy-drama series The Magicians that year. While Stella Maeve found a solid foundation as a television actress she continued to act in indie movies. She won the Robert Altman Spirit Award, for the film Starlet.
