It was music that I would consider feminine, so allowing myself to accept the new feminine standards is quite a challenge. It really was difficult for me to go, "Okay, I can be feminine and soft as well as robust and look after me and not shrink myself." I've really enjoyed it somewhat, I've really enjoyed wearing heels and dresses each day, and having beautiful curls and soft fabric. It was quite stressful, as I'm a lot younger than other actors in Fantastic Beasts]; there is a great deal of stress. But during the auditions, I was struck by the feeling that there was this huge weight in front of my. The choice was whether I'd fall to the ground and sink due to my desire for it. But I also had the option of stepping into the air and let it force me to move ahead. There is a possibility to go on days just walking around, going to coffee shops, museums and parks. London is a place where you are surrounded by people. In LA it can be solitary yet you're in the middle of everything. I am awestruck by people. In the field of music you're constantly in the company of guys. The feeling is that you are engaged with people all day long. The books were a wish to come true for myself. I've even read a few tours' books, in fact, and it's really lovely to have that sort of universe that one can retreat to in the midst of a the road, you're moving between cities and it can get extremely disorienting. And then to go to such a strong vivid world sleeping in my bed at night is truly a dream.
